I hope to have me a 95 z28 this weekend and somethin i plan to do in the near future is to put a cam in it

what kind of cams are some ppl in here running while still being able to pass emissions?

main reason i wanted an LT1 is i need somethin i can mod the hell out of to take it to the track and still pass inspection i know of some aftermarket cams that'll still allow the car to pass emissions but i was wonderin how big i can go

 

I know alot of people can pass the emissions test with the Hotcam. That may be your best choice. Maybe some have psased it with the 224/230 but I think that may be pushing it. The hotcam would be the best one for power and emissions, I think!

 

Last year i passed the emissions test in my h/c 95 z28, with a ****ty tune. it was running really rich. I had the xe 224/230 cam, which p/p heads and mac headers and single cat y-pipe throught the slp loudmouth, it passed with like 98.9 hc's when the limit is like 99.9.. haa barely but if it was tuned properly it woulda for sure passed, this year my setup might be a little tougher to pass, 396 with jet hots, gm 847 cam and slp loudmouth haa.
