lt1 cam help

Whats up im new to this sight. My question is what would be a good cam for my lt1. I have longtube headers, port work on the heads and intake, 58 mm tb, and also thinkin about bigger injectors. I would like for the motor to have a noticiable lope to it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Completely depends upon your goals man. A good street cam that is a proven commodity that also performs very well at the strip is the CC503 (XE 224/230) on a 112 LSA that a lot of people with LT1's prefer. That is definitely a cam I'm looking into for mine. The XE 230/236 & GM 846 are a little bigger without compromising much drivability.

Milder streets cams that are still solid performers are the LT4 Hotcam and CC305. Something big is a CC306 or GM 847 with very hard loping...

But again, it all depends upon what your goals are (street, strip, drivability, reliability, gas mileage lol, where you want your powerband, matched to your set-up, etc.).

Tell us your goals and we can better help you,

Mike

Re: lt1 cam help

Im building the truck run around on the street i will also be running it on the strip since i live close to the track. Gas milage is not a big deal it wont be my daily driver. Future plans r a 383 with a 200 shot of gas.
