LT1 "Cadillac" custom grind dyno results
INTMD8 and Speed Inc did a great job on my car, trust me this is no "magic cam" and my car is not a "factory freak" in regard to stock hp. In fact I was really disappointed when I first bought this WS6 because it felt much slower than the other three LT1 cars I had previously owned ('95 Z28 6speed, '95 Formula Auto, and '95 Corvette Convertible Auto) those cars easily got into the high 13's at the track bone stock (my wife ran 13.65 in the Formula her first and only time driving down the 1/4 mile ever, go figure) anyway, I struggled to get a 13.91@100.9 out of the WS6, it just seemed to want to run in the 14's. I was so disappointed a basically let the car sit for about two years ( I have only owned it for a little over 2 years) last year I only put about 200 miles on the car, the day I brought the car in for the cam was the first time it had been started in about five months, those dyno#'s were run on a mixture of some really old gas..... Anyway, early in Spring of 2002 I bought cat back exhaust, hypertech power programmer, 160 thermostat, and installed a 3.73. After spending a little more than a $1000 for parts and install, the damn car was slower. So I took everything off the car, inlcluding the gear and ran out to buy a 01' 6speed Vette. I tried to sell the '97 WS6, but nobody wanted to pay what I wanted for it, maybe they knew how slow it was, trying to sell going into a Chicago winter did not help either. I still liked the way the WS6 looked (I think it looks better than the vette) and I always wanted to modify a car, so figured I'll do it to this one. I originally wanted to buy INTMD8's supercharger off his '96 SS, but he sold it already, then I wanted a head and cam package, but the $5000 price tag of doing it right changed my mind. I next wanted the hot cam package and INTMD8 talked me out of it and said he would custom grind this cam for me. Sorry for the long post, but I wanted everyone to know what I was thinking about when I did this. By reading all the replies on this topic, and on cams in general, I figured maybe this would help someone. I think everyone in the beginning goes through the same thought process I have, or at least some variation of it. A few people have emailed me wanting to know the spec's on the cam, and I don't know or really care....INTMD8 and the guys (and one girl) at Speed Inc really know their stuff, give them a call @ 847-891-0767, I'm sure they can help you better than I can.....
The point is, this cam made a huge difference on my car, is low cost, very driveable, and seems to get good gas mileage...I have only driven it about 50 miles, so I am not really sure about the gas mileage....but its a lot faster now, thats more important than gas mileage, right!!!!

I have nothing technical to add to this post. But I'd still like to say that I was at SpeedInc. last weekend with a friend who bought a 10 bolt rear end off you guys. Nice shop, I was drooling over all of the cars there.
Especially the electron blue C5 that was sitting there with the keys in the door, the thoughts that ran through my head were definitely illegal.
But something I'd never do.
