( i am still unsure of what i want to do now) Well so far this forum has helped me... and has gotten me interested in camaros well more then i allready was. Anything else you guys can tell me about these engines... any problems with those stock 93-02 camaros? Thanks again
The opti is only on the LTx motors, it usually only goes bad when it gets water in it like from the water pump going out..if its that big of a deal you can always convert it to DIS and have a coil per cylinder like the LSx motors. As far as cost to build it up, it takes about the same amount of money to build a 10sec LT1 as it would a LS1. The LS1 has the advantage of weight since its aluminum and can easily go into the 11s stock, but after market parts aren't as mature as the LT1 but will be soon.
Heck, why not throw in the LC2 turbo Buick motor..hehe. My LC2 outputs well over 400 rwhp and completely stock short block...and less than $3500 invested in it.

Hey I have a 64 Goat and I might as well race it, but all the rules out there favor the small block Ford motors. Hey I don't care what it said on the valve covers before, it says Bauer when it's done. Hell it's not even going to have one Ford part in it!
