Are the lt1 crank and rods the same as on every other 1 piece rear main seal bottom end?? Also are the rods the same as a 1gensbc? Are the pistons any thing special?

Basically yes... the crank for the LT is not the exact same as every other 1 piece rear main seal stock GM crank. The rods in the later LT motors are Powdered Metal where the early rods were basically the same as the SBC rods. I'm not sure who made the old SBC cast pistons but the new ones are made by Mahle and are pretty good for stock units.

So can I use the rebuild kits for any 1 piece rear main SBC or does it have to be specificly for an LT1.

So according to that article you can use a regular SBC 1 pice you just have to balance it. And I know th lt1 came with powdered metal rods, but are they interchangeable with every other SBC? And it seems a 350 piston is a 350 piston.
