LT1 Bolt ons and Exhaust?

What are the cheap and easiest bolt on mods for the LT1 motor and what kind gains would you expect to get? Also I was wondering what is the cleanest sounding exhaust you can get for one of them? I am about to pick up a 25th anniversary T/A next week and I just can't leave it stock.

Cold air intakes are very easy and have noticable gains. their price ranges from 200-250 depending on what brand. For exhaust, i think by far the cleanest exhaust is the GMMG cat-back. Its 800 bucks however........i think a good alternative is the hooker (~250-310 bucks i think).

Edit: Woops, i just checked GMMG's site and its 700 bucks now.

The cleanest exhaust really depends on how much money you have. If you want to spend the least, definatley get Hooker ($300), or SLP 2 on the left ($400). Top of the line is probably Borla ($750), or GMMG ($700).

They're all nice systems, and all of them are stainless steal except for Hooker. It really depends on how much you want to spend and what kind of sound you're looking for.

I found an SLP exhaust system off a 2001 SS here in town locally with only 1000 miles on it. Will it sound right on a LT1 and will be a direct bolt on? I can get it for very cheap too..

the slp exhaust range from loudmouth, dual dual, and 2-on-the-left from loudest to quietest. the catback should bolt up no prob. i recommend Hooker since most of us aren't buying gmmg or corsa. magnaflow is also popular as is the 'dynomouth' mod if you're getting a loudmouth exhaust.

k&n, lingenfelter, slp, and moroso make great cai's that show ~12rwhp... catback + cai = mid 13's on a good run?
