This LT1 block a deal?

Looking for an LT1 block and found one on EBay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7911973572

Think it's worth getting? Only have a little over a day left. Thanks.

it's real hard to tell, it dosen't say much about who did the work, how many miles on it or much at all. i don't think i would trust something on ebay like a block unless you directly talk to the person who machined it. looks like it may go for cheap tho so maybe you'll get a deal if it works out.

One negative might be the fact that it has already been bored 0.030" over. If it needs to be cleaned up further, you will may be pushing the limits of the block's wall thickness. I know people routinely take the LT1's to 0.060" over, but it not really a good idea. I chose to limit mine to 0.020" over, specifically to allow for a future cleanup, without ending up with walls that are too thin to handle a 300-shot.
