Why is it that ls1 owners have had several different intakes to choose from while lt1 owners have had two (one of which has shown no significant increase in hp)?!?!

The port setup for LS1's is a lot easier to work with because theyre evenly spaced apart... X_X_X_X
the X_XX_X layout on the LT1's doesn't leave a lot of room for improvement

Here are the parts @ summit.. says they'll ship right away!
LT1 $459 PN EDL-7107:

LT4 $529 PN EDL-7109:

The LT4 one has a red annodized finish .

I guess a thermoplastic intake would cost too much to develop.....I'd like to see one like that....reduce the intake temp.

They are useful for turning RPM, although I have not seen a back-to-back comparison of a Hogan SMI versus a ported LT1/LT4. As far as bang for the buck for 95% of the engines on this board, I'd say it ranks dead last.

Contact Hogan.

~$2200 last time I looked at one. They may be cheaper now, or find a used one.

Hogan's stuff is pricy but damn it's nice to look at. One of my 5.0 buddies has one on his TT car. I think that he told me something like $1700 or some crazy crap like that...

...but again, they're pretty if that's up your alley.

Gotta say that looks nice, but I think it would look better pollished instead of painted. Just my 2cents.
