Lt1
Re: Lt1
Hard to tell. Looks like it could be the LT1 block casting # 10125327. The last three digits “327” are cast in the front of the block beneath the driver side head.
The info regarding the car it came out of is stamped at the rear edge of the block, on the driver side. Shoebox reference:

Re: Lt1
If you get the stamped numbers off the side of the block, near the oil filter, (use link posted above), it will tell you if it came out of a Chevy or a Pontiac, and what model year the car was. If it turns out to be a Pontiac, you know it came out of a Firebird. If its from a Chevy, could be an Impala/Caprice or a Camaro. If it has 4-bolt mains, it came out of a Corvette. I have no idea what the code is for the Roadmaster or Fleetwood engines.
But is doesn't rally matter what it came out of...All LT1 blocks are the same, except for the 4-bolt mains in the Corvette (and some warranty replacement engines). But they all have the same casting #, with "327" on the front. There's also a similar 265ci block that was used in the Caprice, with the L99 engine. They do not have the "327" marking, and the casting # is 10168588, and it has "4.3" cast in the side of the block. But if yours shows "5.7L" it should be an LT1 - IF IT HAS THE "327" CAST IN THE FRONT". - DOES YOURS HAVE THAT?
The last photo appears to be the casting date and shift info. And if it is"H283" it could be H=August, 28=28th day, 3=last digit of year (1983, 1993, etc.), based on the nomenclature for the Gen 1 SBC.
