LT1 355 Pistons

I'm rebuilding an LT1 for my 3rd Gen, Ive got LE2 heads and ported intake but I bought the block from someone with 50k miles on it. I want to give the shortblock a slight rebuild. Ill be changing cam/crank bearings until I can afford a 383 setup. Since the internals will already be out I wanted to swap the pistons, the only problem is re-balancing. If I have to re-balance the assembly(350$ local +pistons) I might as well just not rebuild it and wait for next year for the already balanced 383 setup. Since LT1 pistons are lightweight and are different from gen I balancing, I was wondering if anyone knows any pistons that will be around the same CC/weight and .030 over, so I don't have to re-balance it. Hyper or Forged either is fine. Thanks

really if the shortblock only has 50k miles, and is in good running order might as well leave it alone.

if anything maybe just get new bearings and rings but i'd be more inclined to let it be.

Wait for the 383. sounds pointless.

Yeah, I was told 50k, I dont know how true that is, which is why I want to tear it down, but the heads that I removed were very clean. The only thing I really wanted to change was the cam bearings because of the stress of the WP/opti but the crank would have to come out to change the bearings anyways. Also wanted to mill the deck a little. And since I'm getting most of the machine work done for almost free, I don't mind spending 200-400 on pistons while the motor is out. Im swapping motor/trans/rear axle so just incase something is wrong with any of the parts and I can't afford the 383 right away I want to make sure the motor will run strong until everything is built to last then go 383.
