lt1 in 1988bmw 325i possible?

Motor is on its way out. Has anyone heard of this?

there are people putting BBCs in geo metros.
im sure with the right amount of money and know-how you can get it done.

I have seen 350 chevys' in jaguars.... I'm sure it can be done...Anything is possible... Might check around, like at http://www.advanceadapters.com , and see if they have ever had something like this brought up....

It has been done, but I am not sure about the details. There was a guy on here that had something like 357i in his nickname. He had an LT1 in the older 3. I know of other people who put a 7/5 series V8 in it so it can be done.

There are a few LS1 E30's running around, im sure if the LS1 fits, the LT1 should also.
