lt1 with 177,000

my 94 z28 has around 177,000 miles on it should i be looking for get a new one up grade to a ls1.. new tranny.... or what should i do with it just start to rebild it..thanks

get another lt1 engine build it to take it!keep driving the car and one weekend swap the motor and fool some unsuspecting people!!

yeah, there is nothing wrong with what you have. I have quite a bit of miles on mine and it still runs fine. when the time comes just rebuild it and go again.

or "build it, and go again FAST!"

Depends on what you want to do.
I feel the LT1 is more than up to the task of big horsepower, and I feel that although the LS1 is a great motor the aluminum block don,t like high horsepower combinations.
We could argue all day about this but from what I have seen the LS1 aluminum block is the weak link in big power combos.

I would stick with the LT1 and build it up, you would be very happy with the right combo.

I have seen LT1s go way over 200k and be fine.

A performance rebuild or upgrade o an LS1..its up to you...Id probbaly just opt for the newer LS1
