i pulled the heads off my lt1 camaro with 175,000 miles and i figured the pistons and walls would be all beat up but looks new. anyone know how long it should take for a lt1 to start haveing ring ridge?

i bought the car a few weeks ago with blown head gasket

 

I think the only way you will get a big ring ridge on an LT1 would be if it were run with some sort of malfunction LONG term.

a HUGE part of what caused that sort of engine wear was carbs running pig rich cold and washing the oil from the cylinders with all the extra fuel.
