I would start on your suspension. It is usually the most over looked part of a car. Get some subframe connectors and control arms.

Actually even trap speeds are not the full story but is closer. I know my converter does not MPH well but it does ET well as it launches hard.

Point being that just because something dynos well does not mean it will go down the track well and there is more to this than suspension though that is a piece of it. You can build a dyno queen that no matter the suspension just won't ET.

Applies to all sorts of engines, seen LT1s, seen LOTS of LSx.

Weirdest example I know of as far as how chasis dynos are not necessarily a good test is one of the 9 second Impalas has a dyno chart claiming 400rwhp. Think we can all agree it takes a good bit more than that to push a whale of a car to those times.

Really hard to say, I know two guys with b-bodies here in Wisconsin, one is cam only with 87 octane tuning the other is heads and cam 92 octane tuning(from bad tuner) trannies and converters from same companies, cam only car has something similar in duration to the HOT heads and cam car is a custom version of the 503 on a 114lsa. Same headers, same CAI. Cam only car has stock TB heads and cam car has a 58mm.

Heads and cam car has gone 13.5, cam only car 13.4. Heads and cam car the tune was so bad from probably the single most popular tuner that it was over 14:1 at WOT and cracked a piston. He called me for tips on the rebuild, going to be a little quicker this year.

Machine work in the boring and valvejob have huge impacts too and quality from shop to shop varies greatly.
