Lt-5????

Anybody ever heard of someone swapping in an LT-5? I saw it done in a book but it was done by Chevrolet. Plus, does anyone know where you can get an LT-5? That would be one mean
F-Body!

No need to be sorry. I'm not bustin' your chops or nothin'. It's just that there should be some info in several threads about the LT-5.

thats one expensive goal you got there. its like what $15k for the motor alone, then all the fabbing to your poor f-body to hold that bigger motor. it'd be cheaper and more cost effective to stroke ur motor with good head work. you know whats mean, those people that swap GN motors into V6 f-bodies. now thats pretty slick.

The LT5 is the Corvette ZL1 motor. I'ver never heard of anyone putting 1 in an F Body. Finding 1 of those engines would be a pretty hard find as I recall GM didn't make too many of the ZL1 Corvettes.

Yeah, I've seen them in the ZR1's, but only at car shows. I think that it would be more of a novelty to have one in an F-body than it would be practical. You could probably get a lot more bang for the buck just by modifying your motor, and it would cost you less!

Thanks, I saw it in the back of a motorcycle magazine when I was about 13 and its stuck ever since.
