LT-1 windage tray with moroso pan
LT-1 windage tray with moroso pan
Been quite awhile since I've posted here!
So I'm still playing with these. Trying to finish up an LT4 build for my '97 SS.
I've got a moroso pan that I've been debating using. It's still a street engine, and I've been thinking of saving it for one of my other cars getting a 427 SBC, and just using a stock pan on this one.
Question I have is, I have a GM LT-1 windage tray, the old style that is longer and curved that was (I suppose) used in the 1970 LT-1. It fits into the pan, but it does fit tight. The moroso pan does have a screen built into the passenger side and scraper.
I also have a crank scraper (pan rail mounted, the kind you have to trim), a louvered flat moroso windage tray, and a rear pan baffle as well I could use.
Right now I'm thinking of using the moroso pan, with the curved tray and the rear baffle. I dont see how the flat moroso will fit into the bottom of the pan without significant trimming. My concern is the curved tray doesn't really have a way for oil 'trapped' around the spinning rotating assembly to easily get away, and it fits tight into the moroso pan. Anybody have experience with 'what works' with this pan?
