LT 1 timing chain

I'm getting ready to rebuild my 94 Z LT1 and will be adding an electric waterpump, my question is when I delete the stock pump can I run a standard timing chain .

Yes, though it will take a little bit of grinding on the inside of the timing cover for extra clearance, you can fit a standard SBC double roller in there.
