Which LSA for my cam?

I'm getting the XE 227/233 Cam with a .560/.569 Lift

I am smack dab in the middle of a dilemma.

112LSA or 114LSA?

Yea I know 113 would be perfect because its in the middle, but options are either 112 or 114.

I am NOT revving to 6500 and AM shifting at 6k. Dave at CMS said that the 114 would be perfect because it saves my low end grunt and makes power to 6k but the 112 makes power a little later but revs it to 6500 so shifting at 6k would defeat its purpose... If I went with the 112 would it really hurt my power band/quarter mile time if I shifted at 6k and not 6.5k?

If emissions is an issue the 114 LSA cam will be a little easier to get through and will be easier to tune idle for.

If your shifting at 6000 get a smaller duration cam with more lift. That'd be a waste.

I don't care about emissions, just want what would be better. I know 112LSA would get be a harder lope but it needs to be revved out higher.

My question is if I would lose a good amount of time in my 1/4 times if I went with the 112LSA and still shifted at 6k opposed to having the 114LSA and shifting at 6k.

I don't understand the 6K limit, but if you mean to stick to it I think you would like the 114lsa, however, the difference wouldn't be huge either way.

The 114lsa would be better, if you are not running over 6k.
Although, I believe you would like the 112lsa better. Due to the fact, that it would have more lope and you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference, power wise.

Re: Which LSA for my cam?

Well, I am going to shift at 6k because I am more likely to spin a bearing at higher RPMs. So you think I won't notice that big of a difference with the 114LSA over the 112LSA? Just the 112LSA has a stronger lope... I guess i'll have to see what Dave says before the final verdict. I think 112 is the way for me though. Thanks fellas
