Mine worked fine, IMHO there was probably something else wrong or out of adjustment. By taking everything apart and then reinstalling & reseting everything the problem was fixed.

I know that it normally does not matter, but what direction are the oiling holes pointed upon installation? Are they toward the flywheel, or toward the crank snout? I am wondering if they pressure up sooner facing toward the flywheel.

I tried everything in the book..... I messed with these for over a month and I did all the trial and errors, it was the lifters. but anyway It is runnig stron and no more issues.
