LS7 Lifter Dramatically More Shallow (with pics)

As you can see in the pics the LS7 is dramatically more shallow. I mic'd them and it appears at least .05 different. Now if you're running stock rockers then it probably doesn't matter but if your running 1.6 then it is certainly going to be too close to the outside edge of the valve head. The body, roller, and clip appeared exactly the same as stock, only the pushrod portion is different.

Some LS7 lifters were lighter colored, some were dark like the stock lifter (dark stock lifter on the left)

Well here is a pic with both 1.5 and 1.6 rocker marks. Strange, but it seems close enough to me.

1.6 on the left, 1.5 on the right.

I'm running LS7 lifters in my build right now with stock length push rods. LS7 lifters, comp cams hardened pushrods stock length, comp cams pro mag 1.6 roller rockers, fel-pro head gaskets, CC503. I went with them and stayed with stock pushrod length after I read on here that someone else was using stock pushrod length with the ls7 lifters.
