Thumbs down LS1speed.com

i guess i just have to vent somewhere after having www.LS1speed.com **** me off!!! almost 2 weeks ago i ordered stage 8 locking header bolts for my LT1. wait a week and finally get them. i open it up and start to try and tighten down headers... but the bolt just falls right out! i look at the package.... it says LS1/LS6. so i call them up, they are "sorry". i tell them that their online part # doesnt not corrispond with the actual part!! so they say whatever and send me out another one. this is all fine because its an honest mistake. so my car is waiting, and i get the new bolts the next week, open it up..... they sent me the SAME LS1/LS6 bolts!! now im really upset. so i call them back up, explain to them AGAIN. they say they are "sorry" and will send me the right ones. well im tired of waiting and their mistakes, so i ask them if they can overnight them to make up for their mistakes. "no sorry we cant do that" well now they can have all there parts back, and ill just continue doing business with thunderracing.com. TWO THUMBS DOWN!!!

on a brighter side... i once again have had a great experience with bryan over at pcmforless.com!! thanks again!

and also for anyone looking for EGR blockoff plates def. contact steve at www.mycamaroz28.homestead.com !! another great guy to do business with. thanks again!

Yea, I've never been too impressed w/ LS1speed.com's service. Check out http://www.ls1speed.com/accident/ That's what one of their mechanics did to a customers car while it was being worked on by them. The mechanic swears up and down that it was the other drivers fault, but you'll notice in the pictures that the throttle blades are stuck open and are frozen that way. Lots of people believe he was messing with something in the car and ran a red. Anyways, I'd just quit messing w/ them and continue w/ thunder racing.

I;ve ordered from them many times and have always had a good experience. Even goos shops mess up a few times, sometimes 2x with the same thing

"No sorry we can't do that" actually means "We don't care enough to do that". That was the least they could have done. Thanks for the heads up.

i agree with that............when a shop messes up twice in a row, they should atleast make amends with overnight shipping.

you can bet ill cause a problem if they do that to me.

Thumbs down

I FULLY AGREE with the thumbs DOWN for LS1 Speed.

They have screwed me over multiple times.

-Sent me the wrong order through the mail.
-Sold me DAMAGED used Rear End gears and LIED to me about which make they were.
-Sold me DAMAGED BMR relocations brackets which almost blew my trans cuz they screwed up the suspension geometry with the LCAs

I also know their outside expert VERY well, he is the one who fixes up all their screw-ups. Everytime I go to see him, he points to a car and tells me, "There is another LS1 Speed **** up"

I don't trust them at all anymore. Waaaay too shady business practices. The only thing the have going for them is good prices, but the service is so terrible it's not even worth it.

I am not sure, but arent you supposed to recheck pinion angle when installing the relocation brackets?

Techcam97 - I don't know where you got those pictures but they were not for your eyes. Not only do you not know the situation but you don't have enough facts to talk about it. If you want to look at the throttle look at how the floorboard was crumpled and held the gas pedal.

superta - I want to know what "rip-off" brand we carry. Please come here and show me ... I want to know where we hide them. We have shelves full of SLP and BMR products, we also carry Kenny Brown -- which are not "cheap rip-offs" - they are big in Mustang suspension parts.

WheelmanZ28 - I'm sorry if you received the incorrect order - we do ship out alot of packages a day. The gears that we do have and ship out are not damaged when they leave here, I recommend that you inspect the packages before accepting them. At times we have a hard time keeping Motive's or GM gears in stock, at that time we do ask customers if they want to go with richmond. Please let me know how the damaged brackets screwed up your geometry. Why would install something that looked damaged? if it didn't look damage how is it our fault? we didn't make the product. Don't get me wrong - I don't want ANY part I ship a customer to do harm ----- just watch where you shoot your venting.

AS TO THE INITIAL POST -- I am deeply sorry we shipped you out the 2 incorrect part #'s. Everyone here is human and everyone will make mistakes. We were not always a large shop, we worked hard to grow this large and we certainly did not do it in a "shady" fashion or by screwing customers. All I can do is apologize and promise that we continue to keep everything running great for all of our customers as we continue to grow.

If someone has true concerns I have no problem confronting and working them out, however I will not tolerate a bashing session.

It is all right there.

I suggest you folks take him up on that offer. Coming here and making a scene won't help things go as smoothly, I am sure of that.

And honest, I ordered MY header bolts from them and I had NO problems. Mistakes DO happen. Sure, twice in a row is tough to swallow, but I am sure they didn't send the the wrong ones on purpose twice.
