Not a whole lot is different, the cam is slightly different and they have a dual exaust, the car is lighter/lower, better weight distribution, and an independant rear amongst other things.

Engine wise, its pretty much the same game.

if your asking what i meant by that post

he said that that he should be able to beat a stock ls1 by .5 in the 1/4 with just a hot cam and i was just saying that he better not count on just the hotcam because my buddy ran 12.8 stock in a 2002 ws6 and to beat him by .5 he would have to run a 11.3. and im not sure a hot cam will get him there.

Aren't the LS1 cams also 4* retarded as apposed to the LT1 cams being 4* advanced which means way more power for the LS1 on the top end VS the LT1 & the LT1 having way more bottom end torque vs the LS1 because of the 4* advanced.

I don't know about any of you guys but with my 2.73 gear ratio LS1's don't seem to fast. 60mph + I am dead even with the two I have raced so far. Even at 80mph when my car drops into 2nd my buddy really needs to rod the he!! out of his car to keep up.

LQ4 heads are Iron

LQ4 truck heads from 2001 and earlier are iron, 2002 and new are aluminum. They have more of a CC cmaber so your CR is like 9.5, so they are excellet for boost applications and flow the same as LS1 heads. If you were tog et them get the alumimum.
