LS1 springs on a LT1

Like the subject says, I have been hearing different opinions, some people are saying that it will lower the car a little bit and be fine, some people are telling me that it will compress the spring more than it is supposed to be and give a rough ride? Anyone know if this is true? I hear about people all the time putting V^ springs on a lt1 and never hear about the problems, if anyone could help I would appreciate it. Oh and the springs are off a 2002 WS6 and going on a 96 camaro Z28 if that makes a difference.

first of all, why are you changing springs? i think the ls1 springs might lower your car just a tad (probably nothing much noticeable). since an lt1 car weighs a bit more up front than an ls1 car. i dont see how the ride would get rougher though. the rates are probably pretty close. hth

chasman, do you have pictures of your car, is the drop noticeable? How do you think it would ride on a stock car, with no SFC's or anything.

From what I understand, they are the exact same springs.
