I was wondering that too, I was thinking about the possiblity of "clearancing" the underside of the stock hood and removing part of the structural support from the center/front....until I do the fiberglass hood that is.....

Homedepot ($4) has a bellow that works the same as the $50 SLP bellow. It is smooth. As far a making the bellow fit, it was easy, you can make the circle bellow go on the TB, it just takes some effort.

I took some pics but have no way to host them till tonight.

I had to do this to clear the ls1 lid, it is not that much, and i think the setup would even work on my stock hood. I think VFN made the underside of the hood the same as stock, plus the ss scoop is in the middle of hood so it is too far back for the ls1 air box to hit.

Re: LS1 lid and Fast Toys Ram Air

I had no idea how many lt1's were doing this. I can definitely see why people would want to though. Does anyone have pics of the progress through the install? If anyone has any pics they want to send me......here's the email:

Mine is the same .....Clear lid and all...Well except I got the air duct (between TB and MAF) from a vette
so what are the differences between that pic and setup and Marcins setup?
i see Marcin still uses the LT1 radiator support cover but does he also have an LS1 support ontop of it?
if not then what is missing from Daves car and what style support is that compared too Marcins?

seems like a much better install on Daves car, no offense Marcin

Re: LS1 lid and Fast Toys Ram Air

Here are the pics of my setup. Alot of grinding and fitting, but it works great. I think it might even fit under a stock hood.
