Thumbs up LS1 Lid conversion (pics)

I wanted to do this for some time. So this weekend a friend and I did this, all of it fit under the stock hood. I don't know if there are going to be any real gains or not, I just like working on cars and thought this would be a fun project.

So please no post saying this was stupid and a waste of time because I don't care it only cost me $60 for the whole thing so with that said pics....

Cut tabs of back of lid:

So what do you do, just lay the filter ontop of the condensor/radiator then the lid ontop of the filter?

the lids being held down by the hood. you could bolt it down no problem, but it fits snuggly down without any problems, in other words....its not goin anywhere haha. just be careful with the sheet metal, almost cost me my finger lol.

Putting a "LS1 Motorsports" lid on a LT1 is about as weird is putting CORVETTE fuel rails on a f-body. It just doesn't fit.
