LS1 Lid Conversion
LS1 Lid Conversion
Why do you have to lean the radiator and condenser back closer to the engine?
Is it to give the piping from the lid to the intake clearance?
or
Is it to make enough room in front of the radiator and condenser for the filter to sit correctly?
I have the Harwood Cowl induction type hood so I don't think clearance is a problem.
Thanks

Re: LS1 Lid Conversion
You have to lay the radiator back, as the ls1 radiator support is longer than the lt1 one. I have the condenser in the radiator brackets, so they are at the same angle. I like the setup, looks alot cleaner, and is alot easier to work on.

Re: LS1 Lid Conversion
My local u pull it salvage yard has a 50 dollar all you can carry out on Saturdays. I'm going to go out there on Friday and scout out what they have on the yard, then if they have a LS1 with the air box and what not, I'll go back Saturday and pick it up. Among a few other things I need.
Are the air intake setups on the 3800's the same as the ones on LS1's?
