Question LS1 fuel injector in LT1?

Those of you that have LS1 injectors in an LT1 engine, or anybody who knows anybody with such, how did you install the injector in the fuel rail without the LS1 spring clips that hold the injectors in the fuel rail? I had all the injectors installed, and the #2 injector popped out of the fuel rail, the LT1 clips don't work on the LS1 injectors. Could someone give me any tips on how to keep th injectors in the fuel rail without having the clips?
Thanks

Well, the fuel rail should hold them in place once bolted down.

However, the ls1 injector is a downgrade from the lt1 at lt1 pressures so i dont know why you are using them

What Serene said, the LS1 injectors are rated at a different pressure then the LT1 injectors. A 28 lb LS1 injector is barely the same as a stock 24 lb LT1 injector.

But I paid $100 for the LS1 injectors, and I wanted to use them, and i really don't have the money to get LT1 injectors!

Well what year injector are they? If they are 98,00,01,02 then you'll be ok, I think those were all 28 lbs/ hr....99s were only 26 lbs / hr at LS1 rating, which puts them well below the 24 lbs that LT1s are rated at (I believe 93 was 22 lbs).

well, whether your injectors are the same as the old lt1's, or better, or worse isn't your problem. You need to get a set of the LS1 clips to hold the injectors in if you want to use them. Lots of people just push them in and they are fine, but if yours pop out then you need the clips. If you do a search for jason cromer, don't know if he's moved yet or not, but he should be able to get the clips for you in a hurry, or at least give you the part numbers for them so you can get them from some other gm dealership. From what I've heard/read, they aren't that expensive.

good luck, hope this helps. ---J.Bird

actually--here is the thread about him moving, so you should be able to get some contact info from it http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...hreadid=231594
