ls1 coil packs on an lt1

i wonder if anyone has ever attempted this

seems like it would be a good opti-spark eliminator without having that ugly delteq thing.

Just a thought, i wonder if it could be done without too much hardcore wiring harness altering.

From what I last heard it was buggy. I haven't looked at it in probably 2 years since there is a lot of custom work that had to be done. I decided for myself that the Delteq was the way to go.

Re: ls1 coil packs on an lt1

I've been running 8 LS1 coils for almost 6 years. Opti sends the optical signals to a MoTeC M48Pro ECU, the ECU uses a MoTeC IEX 8-channel driver to fire the 8 LS1 coils. Coils are hung under the bottom radiator support, so the entire system is invisible from the top.

I'd suggest the LTCC.

Re: ls1 coil packs on an lt1

I've had it for a while now, year or two. No problems except when I first installed it. I can't remember why but I didn't hook up something right and it wouldn't turn over for some reason. But I figured out what it was and haven't had problems since.

Actually I did blow a fuse one time but I'm not sure if that was just the LTCC's fault.

It would be cool if they sold that bracket to mount up the ls1 coils right by the intake.

MBA sold them before they went out of business. Good setup, except the back two coils on the driver side are too close to the cowl, and the stock fuel lines are a PITA to hook up too.
