LS1 brake INSTALL Q's
Called the local boneyard...GM Sports Salvage about the front brake parts needed to swap them onto my 93 LT1. They want 300 for "all the parts I need".
I need to complete the swap:
1. rotors
2. calipers
3. spindles?
4. pads
I think that's it. They said I get the pads that were in the car. 300 is about all I'd like to spend.....obviously I'd get the rotors turned while I'm at it.
I can do a normal brake job in decent time. What about this install is different from that? Is there an install guide somewhere(I checked Brent's page but no luck)? I know I have to deal with spindles to get the calipers to mount up. What's the toughest part of the job?
Thanks!
