Ls1 brake conversion
Parts: as mentioned above. Plus three cotter pins, 2 med. 1 small
Costs: I bought a junk yard, spare knuckle (first one bent) for 50+tax. I rxcd other quotes from 60 to 100 per knucle. Rotors, IMO, just get a set of Bendix or wagner 30- 50 depending on store. DON'T cheap out on the brakes, I learned the hard way, they'll glaze the rotors quick. Hawk pads 85+tax. Use the brake lines that come with the LS1 calipers, that way you don't have to change the Bango bolts. Both lines are the same length. Just take the hard line brake that connects to the rubber line out of the bracket and bend it over. Make sure when your done that the tires don't hit the lines at all angles of the wheel. The hubs are interchangable.
Tools: 22mm 17mm and 15mm wrench, 13mm&18mm socket&rachet. Pliers, snub and needle nose. 2Lb. sledge or regular hammer. DON'T tap on the bolts you destroy the treads. ONE good tap on the upper A arm and tie rod, pull up of off the lower control arm.
Finally, get an alignment, if you think it needs one or not.
