just keep in touch with me. ill help you realize your dream of getting a ls1 in your car. beleive me at one time all i did was talk about swapping over. then i just did it. was a lil scared that the car was never going to be completed. as of now the harness is back out for some more repinning work for the gauges. however if any of you got any questions . just give me a shout on aim. lethalgreen95z28

i thought that way too. but in my case the donor car was way too cheap to turn down i have had my z28 for a while and cant stand the ls1 camaro front end. got too much sentimental value in this car to rid of it.

How the hell is that possible? I'm not calling you a liar but I didn't know the LS1 could do that.

yep. love it. it really suprises everyone when i pop the hood cause they expect a dirty v6 under the hood. only to see an extremely clean ls1 conversion. and beleive me when i say clean. the car is spotless. inside underneath and outside.

the timing cover is designed to bolt to the pan does not have a lip on it that sets under the pan like a lt1. the lifters lock into place when you remove the rocker arms. just spin the cam and they click in place. so the cam slides out. new one goes in. install springs, rocker arms and torque everything and your done. oh yea you dont set valve lash on a ls1. just torque the rocker arms.

Ouch, I never really saw the big disadvantage of the LT1 until I read that.

yea and the fact that everything is sealed via o-rings and machined grooves. no silicone or paper gaskets. if you can build a fast lt1. you can build a killer ls1.
