lowering with LT's?
lowering with LT's?
I have a 97 WS6, how far(if at all) can i safely lower the car without causing problems.......if i do lower the car anyone got pics or suggestions for kits? I was told lowering is a no-no with hooker long tubes
I have Hooker Lt's and a Mufflex Y-pipe. Speed bumps are not the major problem. If speed bumps look too big, go around them. My problems are big dips, and uneven roads in Texas. I do not reccomend lowering if your roads are like mine.

I ran the Hotchkis 1" lowering springs and hooker longtubes. NEVER had a problem, but I also paid a pretty penny for a very nice offroad custom ypipe. My exhaust guy got the ypipe very close to the bottom of the car. just aim for the middle of the speed bump, where it splits . That is where the middle of your car should go. If I would go actually over the bump I would some times scrape.
If you have/get LTs, get a good custom y-pipe made. I haven't lowered my car, but after installing Jet Hot LTs, and a custom y-pipe, WITH a cat, my ground clearance changed VERY little.
Pics are in my sig.
