Low Tracktion warning?

I have a pretty stock 95 Z28 with T56.

The other day I got on it a bit hard and the rears broke loose. An indicator on my dash "low traction" came on?

It never came on in the past.
I do not have an ASN or whatever swith by the cigarette lighter (as mentioned in my owners manual).

What does this mean? Is there a mechanisim that is kicking in sometimes to "reduce spark" and "apply rear brakes" as mentioned in the manual?

Any ideas or explaination?

It's another feature of ABS it means when you apply the brakes the abs system will take the slack if you had to brake and it's kind of an idiot light when 2 or more wheels are sensed slipping per say.
