Low RPM stumble only when cold

Ive had a low rpm stumble when the car is cold since i bought it. After it warms up to operating temps, it runs great. It runs alright when useing enough gas to keep it moving but when you try to accelerate very quickly before it down shifts and even if it downshifts just one gear, it falls on its face. Ive got a new fuel filter but havent got a chance to change it. If it was something fuel related i couldnt see it only happening when the motor is cold though. Whats your ideas? It has 83k on it by the way.

Is it harder to start when it's colder outside?

No, it starts right up wether the engine temp is cold or hot. No problems starting either way.

My car does the same thing....always starts right up even after it was -15 degrees outside. Put new plugs in when the headers were installed (the old plugs were absolutely shot) so figured the issue would be resolved...still runs very rough when cold and hitting the gas pedal. Guidance would be appreciated!

yeah mine is suppost to have new plugs and wires, and waterpump. He didnt mention wether or not the opti was changed out when the waterpump was. Some one else had mentioned that coolant is leaking into the opti when the car is off, and messes with it until the car warms enough to evaporate the liquid. If this is true, i need a new waterpump and opti. I would go Electric for sure. Im really hoping its something alot similar but that does make since, at least to me. Any other ideas?
