low rpm stumble

I have a low RPM stumble, and I was just wondering if the distributor was going bad wouldn't the service engine soon light come on. Or if an injector was clogged the SES light should come on shouldn't it. I dont know, and I thought I would see if someone else new before I start blowing money on something I dont need. Thanks!!!!

We need to know what year your car is. On OBDII cars, you will throw an SES light for a misfire. Or at least it should throw a code for it. On OBD1 though, it won't do anything if you have a miss...

I think it takes alot for OBDII to detect a misfire. At least on my 96 it takes alot of misfiring to throw a code.
