Low oil or something else?

My 2nd dash gauge from the left, the one that goes up to 80 i think its the oil gauge im having an issue with.

Basically, every day i start up the car and the needle sits at around 60. I drive on the highway about 20 miles to work and by the time i get off the highway and the engine warms up, the needle sits around 30 or so then im at work and shut the car off. This happens every day, every time i start it up, goes from about 60 to 30 or 20.

Saturday i put a quart of oil in the car, some coolant and some injector cleaner in the car. It felt better than it has in months. It felt like it had regained a tiny bit of the power i lost but not all of it for sure I drove 50 miles this day and the same thing, needle was around 30, but then i was in bumper to bumper traffic for about 45 minutes. That gauge was going from 30 to zero the whole time and i got the check gauges dummy light a bunch of times. The light goes off every time i got moving again or put it in neutral and gave it a little gas.

I got scared and just parked the car for a while. It started about 20 mins later. I cut the engine off and tried to start it again and it wouldnt start. Coolant was coming out of the overflow reservoir bottle through the cap. I guess thats where ive been losing all my coolant. I let it sit and cool down for another 25 minutes, put more coolant in the overflow and started it up. It was alright for about 15 minutes then the gauge started doing the same thing until i got where i was going and parked at the game i went to. This seems to happen but on a smaller level when i drive about 20 miles and then drive in bumper 2 bumper traffic but this is the first time where it has been this serious.

6 hours later and i drove home and same thing, the needle was around 60 and i got on the highway going 75 -85 mph and the car seemed alright for the whole 50 miles.

I got home and no coolant was coming out.

The engine has had head work done, ive had that loss of power issue and shaking under 2k rpm issue that everyone else seems to be having. Im a dummy when it comes to mechanical issues, anyone know what these symptoms might mean? My temp gauge does not work at all anymore.

My car when its warm goes to 18 psi of oil pressure. You really need to get that coolant gauge fixed. If you are overheating the engine you will definately have major problems. The coolant coming out the bottle may be a sign of overheating.

The shaking can be from dead cyliner which would also explain your power loss. Perhaps your plugs are fowled out or the missfire is being caused by coolant getting into the cylinder. Coolant coming out of the reservoir could be either a weak radiator cap or a blown head gasket. Low oil pressure can be a faulty oil sending unit or a bearing problem. First thing you need to do is verify your oil pressure by putting a mechnical gauge on the engine.
Once you verify the pressure then is when you need to start making some decisions on what you want to do. If you get weak pressure readings from a mechanical gauge then it looks as though the engine will need to be rebuilt due to either spun or worn bearing(s). If the pressure reads good then tackle the coolant issue. Get yourself a leakdown test and see what's happening. A leakdown is the easiest way to tell if you have pressure escaping and where it's going. A compression test will not tell you with such accuracy.
There are plenty of threads related to this very topic if you use the search function.
Whatever you're dealing with here it's going to cost you money. Especially if you don't do the work yourself.

Have you checked your oil? If so, does it look like oil or creamed coffee?
One other theory is that coolant has gotten into the oil which is meticulously destroying your bearings. Whatever you do, stop running the engine. The more you run it the more it may cost you in damages.

Today after about 20 minutes of driving i parked, did what i had to do about an hour later.

When i cranked the ignition, it sounded much louder than normal, higher pitched and louder than normal. White smoke proceeded to come out of the tail pipes. It drove like normal. I drove for 10 mins, went to the bank, when i came back, it cranked normally but the Service Engine light came on. Still driving normal. I drove home cuz my mechanic couldnt take a look at it and let it sit for 2 1/2 hours.

Started it up again to go to work, it cranked normally, no SES light. Drives normally.

Merry Christmas!!!!!!

Ok, so basically. Mechanic charged me for a new oil sending unit. Still had low oil pressure issue for a couple months. Was gonna junk the car. Decided to get a second opinion. Found out they did not replace my sending unit from new mechanic. New mechanic put a sending unit in. Oil pressure issue is fixed. Will be taking old mechanic to court.

De bird iz alive.
