LOW OIL light comes on and off

Question LOW OIL light comes on and off

ok my low oil comes on and off...so i checked the engine oil and it was full...i tried resetting the pcm by unplugging the neg that didnt work..i double checked all my wires that i unplugged when i replaced the igintion switch!! what is the deal? please help

same damn thing happened to me and it was pissing me off so I tried everything just as ypou and I figued that if you to the car on to the acc position and then turn it off and then start the car the light will not be on the whole time an after about 1 mont it just started working again. If it won't stop you will have to replace the sensor

Check the wiring going to the sensor. (on the oil pan)

hmmm....yea i do that too...ill like start my car and it wont go off i turn it off then pull the key out and restart it then it works!! stupid GM electrical problems...they said these cars are crap about the electrical stuff...wll ill keeo you posted!!

My low oil light on the Camaro started to come on after I took it to Wal Mart to have the oil changed, it'll go out if I turn the car off and fiddle w/ the key between off and the acc position. I believe they either knocked the sensor connector loose or messed up the wiring in some way. I'm about to head outside and check it out... I'd never had a problem with them messing anything up before. I normally go there since I have the GFX and it makes it a lil harder to get it up on ramps like I used to

I would never let a wal-mart mechanic(if you could call them that) touch my car - atleast the wal mart where i live.
especially since i've seen the oil that they use also
