I was lucky enough for it to come out in one piece. I found out when i was replaceing the oilpan gasket, rear main seal, headers, y-pipe, motor and tranny mounts. So i didnt have enough money to buy the sensor right then so i had to wait another two weeks. and the only place i could find the sensor was the dealer.

That oil level sensor has never worked right for me. It started leaking so I replaced it (only place to get the sensor is from a dealer approx. $25 I think) and after trying three different ones I still could not get the Low Oil light to turn off. If I would have had a plug to fit the hole I would through it in the trash. So right now all mine is doing is keeping oil in the pan.

wAIT....HOLD UP. Hey injected you just went in there and dropped your oil pan just like that. I thought it was a PITA to do. I just pulled my engine yesterday. How much crap did you have to do just to pull the oil pan?

Same EXACT thing happened to me. The pick up was CRAMMED with the broken plastic pieces.

I couldn't believe I had been running like that for so long (6k rpm blasts!) .

lol NO my car isnt exactly STOCK i have a full tubular k-member with long tubes so what i did was loosen the motor mount bolts, held the engine up by the bellhousing on the tranny (M6) removed the rack & pinion, then i removed the kmember bolts, then lowered the kmember down a lil and then i had enough clearance to pull the pan out thank god too cause i didnt feel like pulling the tranny again this week took me about 3 hours total to do it all this way
