Low Fuel

I watch the fuel tach and know when i'm low on fuel but the check gauges light never comes on. In my old car the light came on when the fuel was low. Any warning on the Z's????? Just wanna make sure everything is working properly!!

The warning is a sputter followed by 0 rpm. When you get that make sure you pull over......

By the way you'll get a check gauges light then....

BTW, it's not good to run your gas down to nearly empty. When you do that, the fuel pump tends to get hot and it shortens the life of it. I don't ever let mine go pas 1/4 tank.

Actually i think we do have a low fuel light. I think i triggered it once when i first got my car, another time though i ran out with no light. I don't push it quite as much anymore.

I think you're wrong. The 98 and up do.....but theres no spot for it on the back of my 94 instrument panel. In fact even the 98 and ups use the check gauges light to notify you.

Edit: Actually my 99 SS uses the check gauges light and my friends 2002 V6 does as well, just for confirmation.

Edit2: I know ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING about the formulas, so I could be wrong on that account. If so sorry. But he did say Z's.
