low coolant litght on
low coolant litght on
well my low coolant light is on and i parked my car inside the garage and let her cool down..
i opened the rad and the orange stuff was full to the brim
and my spash tank is past full so this leads me to think that my sensor has crapped out?
any input would be great.. and where is this sensor and how long is it to replace? thanks

Re: low coolant litght on
The coolant level sensor goes bad very frequently in these cars. Seems that's the case for you.
The coolant sensor is mounted on the radiator a few inches below the radiator cap. It is easier to replace it with the battery removed. Part #10096163 (assuming you have a 96/97 car based on the orange dexcool you mentioned)

Re: low coolant litght on
replacing the sensor doesnt always work. On mine it was something under the dash that was a ten dollar piece, but you had to pull the dash apart to get to it. At least thats what the shop told me.

Dealer price is almost $50.00 for the coolant sensor.
Just unplug the thing.
