Question Low Coolant Light.... HELP!!!!!!

My low coolant light came on today, but I checked the level and it's filled to the top and the overflow tank is right where it should be . I need some help on this one ... any suggestions.I'm here in philly and we have been in a heat wave for weeks and i'm afraid to do damage to my newly purchased 95 Z28.
ThankZ for any help.

Re: Low Coolant Light.... HELP!!!!!!

This has been discussed a billion times. Try searching, but while I'm here ill try to help ya out a little. There is a sensor on the side of your radiator. It might be bad. Mine is on, and is always on, the mechanic said there is something inside the dash causing it, a real cheap part, but a bitch to get to. Some times replacing the sensor in the engine bay helps though, also cleaning may help it. I think you can even remove it. OR you might have air bubbles trapped in your cooling system. These are all the things that I remeber that can be wrong. If you search for "Low coolant light" Im sure there will be enough stuff to read all day.

Mine came on and stayed on once i bought mine. But the dealer replaced the sensor when i got a new tranny and said it was all corroded and full of junk.

Mines always on, but everything is full. just yank it out and you'll be all good. You can find instruction on shoebox's website i believe.

Take the battery out, and you'll see it on the side of the radiator. Warning, if you have the factory radio, removing the battery might put it in the "locked out" mode.
