the low coolant light being on is no big deal to me. It always goes on and off. but last night, I noticed my car was running in the 210 range. its never ran that hot since I've owned the car. I checked the level, and its good. the coolant is even to the top in the radiator. any reason why its running this hot?

hmmm,

maybe

1. stuck thersmostat
2. air ( try to bleed the system)
3. a small leaking waterpump (sometimes not noticeable)

hope this helps

Maybe its time for new coolant. 210 isnt that hot. As for the light, its probably a bad sensor.

This very same thing happened to me today! Coolant level light came on... so I scanned the gauges... and I was running a bit hot . It was climbing close to the halfway mark when normally it hovers right around the first mark. I got it home without reaching halfway on the temp gauge, let the car cool, checked the level and the level is fine, right up to the top and the resivoir is full too . Why would my car suddenly start running hot? There's no puddles of coolant and my waterpump is not leaking that I can tell.
