Low Coolant Light but I'm full of Coolant

I'm stumped here. I'm all filled up on coolant and the reservoir is full. Should I try replacing the sensor? If so how do I get to it and is it hard to do? Anyone else had this problem that could help me out with a possible solution?

I did yea.. The sensor was bad. Its right straight under the radiator cap and wasn't to hard to get to or replace. Basically an o-ring with some kind of clip on it if I remember correctly.

You wouldn't happen to have a part number would you?

Low coolant sensor is a typical failure. Remove the battery for easy access.

I don't think they cost very much, and if you need to bleed, You can airlock it somewhat by leaving the radiator cap on and pulling it out... Some will come out but not much, if it doesn't airlock it'll just drain the radiator down to that level. If that happens just top it off and you should be good.

This is always a good idea as you can look forward to replacing your head gaskets if you ever get a real coolant leak!

hold on before you replace it... sometimes the little ballast just gets stuck. hit the tank right by the sensor with a good rap & you'll probably knock it loose.
