low coolant light??
low coolant light??
Yesterday I was driving home on the freeway and noticed my low coolant light was on. I pulled over to a gas station to put in some water. I poured some water into the overflow reservoir instead of the radiator because the car was too hot to remove the radiator cap. anyways, it was already full.
The temperature was fine the entire time and the gauge was working as well (rising when stopped in traffic, lowering when at speed). There didn't appear to be any leaks so I'm guessing it's a faulty sensor.
Would you guys recommend driving the car like this, do you think it is something other than a sensor, and if it is the sensor where is it located?
Thank You For Your Help!

i have a 94 TA and i have been driving my car with the low coolant light on for about a year. i have never over heated or ran hot. i have heard that the sensor in the overflow tank just gets gungies (scientific word there) on it and it reads wrong. u could take out the sensor snd clean it or do like i do ignore it.
