Low Compression pistons with 58cc heads?
Hello what is the lowest compression pistons you can get for 58cc heads?
I seen they have them down to 8.5 for 383 stickers but I am looking for ones for a 350.
can you mill the piston tops like they do on diesel engines?
thanks Jim

There are alot of off-the-shelf pistons at around -18 or -20ccs... but there are many other factors affecting compression ratio.
I don't know why the head volume would make a difference if you're trying to lower compression - problems could arise when trying to raise it (using dome pistons).

The "for 58cc heads" he stated in his original post was what I was referring to.
To go much further than that, you'll probably need some custom pistons.
I am for sure which way I want to go with the engine.
I like to have around 500 to 600 fwhp with great torq in the low to mid range if I deside to turbo.
The car is going to be more of weekend & car show car. it may see the 1/8 drag strip once just to get a time on it.
It is a 95lt1 from a TA with a 6 speed trans that will be put in a 96 mustang.
