How much you folks paying for 93 and/or 91 octane in CA?

If 93 not available, do you add additives/octane boosters when you fill up?

Well the cheapest around where i live for premium which is 91 octane is $2.05. But then it goes up to about $2.25 for chevron. That much money and they can't even give us 93 octane. Isn't california great.

Beneficial yes, useful usually not. Those bottles that claim a certain number of 'points' raised they are not claiming that it will make 91 octane go to 93 if they say a 2 point increase, the ACTUAL increase is in tenths, so if they claim a 2 point increase, it turns 91 into 91.2 which is really not worth it if you ask me.

Get a cutout and cold air intake. That's about the best you can do for the $240.
Cutout is about $25-$35 and another $40-$60 for an install.
Cold air, you can pick it up from the for sale section used for $100-$120 shipped. I've seen a lot of them lately.
Or you can do the homemade one (although personally I don't really like them too much) and it will be like $15-$20 and some work as mentioned above.
Run your rear tires at 26 PSI if you don't want to spin too much.

And finally, don't race on the street, take it to the track!

EDIT: just noticed you had cold air already... nevermind.

He says he already has a high flow cat, flowmasters, 160* stat, re-surfaced heads and cold air.

So, the best next mod for under 240 will be a cut-out. You could possibly also get pulleys if you do the work yourself.
