10 secs on 400 RWHP Sorry it isnt going to happen. I have a blown 383 on 14 PSI and I dont think ill even hit the 10's You will need all suspension and eaither a blower and/ N20. Trick flow heads are good IF you get them ported again by Lloyd or someone else. Instead of spending your money on trick flow just send your heads to Llyod. He is a supporting vendor now so his email is in the index. as far as 383-396 it is up to you. and remember your motor is only as strong as its weakest compoate (SP) You will need to upgrade your fuel pump, injectors, get a cam, tune...the list goes on and on and on. If you need more advice feel free to email me or hit me up on aim and I will help get you going. and I am sure there will be more people chime in on this thread. also try a search it is amazing and what you can find on here with a little looking seeing as how this subject has been brought up countless times.

Re: low 10's car

You're going to need a killer bottom end - totally forged, using premium crank, rods and pistons, and some REALLY good tuning to spray a 300-shot on an engine making about 500flywheelHP. And there is no way you will do it on a stock rear, or stock (even beefed up) 4L60E.

You're basically doing what I'm doing. Check the link in my signature to the complete "mod's list". Some of what I have it gross overkill (the bottom end is built for 1,000HP) but it isn't too far from what you're going to need.

I used your website and list of mods many times for the same reason. It was helpful and almost like a checklist while I was ordering parts. While I deviated from your setup in lots of places...it was helpful to have a fairly complete list of mods.
