Loudmouth vs Cutout

Is there any advantages to doing a $350+ exhaust setup compared to a cutout and whats the sound difference?

I don't have one. I'm gonna get a electric cutout though when i do. Only because the cops around here are really strict on noise pollution crap. I think it is a great bang for the buck mod. Probably the best bang for the buck besides nitrous.

I would go with cutout. I have a good friend with a Loudmouth and a good friend with a cutout. Both 95 Z28.

Cutout sounds better to me.

edit: they both have longtubes so that really improves the sound.

ive had both and i think the sound is too close to justify the price difference and you can always cap the cutout if it gets to be too much.. obviously not so simple with the LM. go with the cutout! btw.. where in Kansas are ya?

My cutout sounds great, I run it open all the time. Dont even know where the cap is! I can hear the stock radio with the windows down and the sweet exhaust note at the same time. It really isnt that loud or raspy at all if you put it behind the cat. I say get a cutout, well worth the price. Cost me $27 to buy and $12.50 to have installed at a muffler shop. Cant beat that!

I would say an electric cutout is a better route. You can always quiet down the car when you want too. If you are gonna get one, get it from this place www.dmhperformance.com

There cutouts have a 4 year warranty and also are made out of the best materials. I just installed one on my Borla and I LOVE it. I did a full write up (with pics in the link below) on it and should have a sound/video clip with a few days.

Good Luck,

ha if the man/woman is lookin for a loudmouth or cutout, they obviously like loud ....the loudmouth is loud, yet still has a good tamed tone to it. ha...plus if they want to come to Cincinnati...they can listen to my car..haha ive had a countless numbers of compliments and one bad thing said about it. the bad thing came from a ricer at my school who thinks his honda civic dx is fast as sh*t. haha he said it sounds fake.

so...this is my guarentee...even tho the only thing backing it is the compliments i have gotten haha
