Thumbs up Loudmouth Review

Here is the review. My step dad and I installed it on saturday in about 2 hours total. That was dropping the old and installing the new. We did this in the driveway on ramps with a cutting torch. This install was on a 97 trans-am. I did buy the adapter kit and it all installed well without any leaks. I due have cats on my car but I believe one is busted out becasue it rattles sometimes. At idle it has a low rumble but not to loud. However, under acceleration it does get very loud but once you are up to speed it gets alot quieter. The sound is very deep and controllable. All in all I am very pleased with this system. I was afraid of the raspy sound I hear so much about but I did not have any of that. Alittle loud for my taste but every time I turn the key I like it alittle better.

you think its loud now if you ever get headers and high flow cats look out, you will need ear plugs, but i like the sound of the LM always have

I do not suspect I will get header becuase I hear they are a pain to put on. If I do however I might then have to invest in a different cat-back but that would only happen if I got pulled over for the noise otherwise Loudmouth till I die.

I cant say to be honest becuase I have never heard a LT with cut-outs but by just thinking about how the design is I would say the cut-out is louder. Just curious do any of you guys know of a place in columbus that would do head work.

Thanks

I have the LM, Long Tube Headers, and High Flow Cats with the LT4 hotcam. It isn't as loud as everyone thinks. Its completely tollerable at idle and cruising (great sound). But at WOT...HOLY $H*T it sounds incredible.

Here are some soundclips. Copy and Paste the URL in Windows Media Player or it wont work.

Yeah I agree that it would be way loud at WOT. I also agree that not puting headers on because they are a pain is a weak answer but I think I will but the header money towards the 4L60E. I was told that if I get a cooler and up the servo and junk that it would last a while. Does anyone have an opion they would like to share about that.

Yeah I agree on that. That is the only reason I want to get my left cat fixed that way it doesnt sounds like crap soon but at this time it sounds good. Like I stated kinda to loud under acceleration for me but its all good.
