guys, a friend is trading his slp loudmouth of his LT1 for my exhaust wich is stock except of the muffles( is a excelerator)

he ofered me his loudmouth because is "too loud"(he bought his car like 2 weeks ago..

How will it sound without cats, and long tubes..?

 

Like running open headers If you like it loud - you'll get it. It's a question of personal taste and local law enforcement plus neighbors tolerance.

 

Kinda raspy but VERY LOUD. I love loud cars. I have LT's str8 back into a cutout. I NEVER cap it. Even on 7 hour road trips. Its all about personal preference when it comes to the sound of exhaust. If you like loud, then you are going the right way. But if you like quite sometimes and loud when you want it, turn around and go get a Hooker Catback....

but at 2,000 revs will it be too loud that the cops will be behind me all the time, even cruising?

 

Naw I dont think it will be that loud at 2k, but I rev it past cops with my cutout open and they never bother me, usually just smile.

 

I have loudmouth with jet-hots. It is very loud! i love it but i got pulled over for it the first week i had my lts on, and they said i was racing, but i wasnt even getting on it. It gets very loud and raspy at about 2300-2500 but after and before that

A friend of mine has that set up and it is amazing. If you like loud, you can't go wrong with it.
